Thank you for viewing. [Description] We are offering up a very valuable guitar. This guitar is a Yamaha SG-2000 manufactured in 1978 in a sophisticated brown sunburst finish. This is an original Yamaha guitar, and was once known worldwide as the favorite guitar of Carlos Santana, Al Di Meola, and Bob Marley. Sales of the SG-2000, which reflected Santana's advice, began in July 1976, so this guitar is one of the earliest models in the long history of the SG-2000. This is truly a guitar that should be called a Real Vintage. The body structure is a traditional maple top and mahogany back. The neck is a three-piece maple/mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard. The structure is similar to a Les Paul, but the beautiful double cutaway is impressive. The greatest feature of this guitar is its sustain. In order to meet Santana's request for "maximum sustain," it has an original structure. For example, it has a T-cross maple top, neck-through construction, brass sustain block, etc. It's rare to find a 1970s SG in good condition on the market. This SG-2000 being offered for sale this time was manufactured in 1978, but it is in such good condition that it's hard to believe it was made 46 years ago. There are some scratches and dents on the body, but nothing noticeable. There is a small dent on the neck, but it does not interfere with playing (PIC No. 18). The body top has a very beautiful wood grain. All parts of this guitar are original, including the screws. In honor of the 46-year history, we disassembled and polished every screw.
