Yamaha A3R natural This Yamaha A-series dreadnought with spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides is proof of the quality of the Yamaha brand. The neck is straight, the action is low, and the guitar has a strong clear tone which projects across the room like a good bluegrass guitar should. The preamp is the SRT preamp which is completely silent when recording directly to your DAW. The microphone modeling sounds warm and satisfying through PA system. Many might prefer having the microphone modeling set at 100%, but I actually prefer a little bit of the brightness of the piezo pickup and tend to put the blend around 70%. The guitar comes with a Yamaha hard case, (including keys), paperwork and feedback inhibitor sound hole cover. I have attempted to get the dings and small scratches in the closeup pictures.
