Vintage Yamaha G-231 Nylon String Classical Guitar with soft case (1970`s-1980`s) For a vintage instrument from the late 1970`s or 1980`s it is in good condition with only a few visible cosmetic dings or scratches. Has some light surface scuffs and some finish dings on the top. The serial number is 80821496. Made in Taiwan. Tech Notes: The nut is at .018” at the 1rst fret for the Bass and Treble side. The action is currently at 4/64” at the 12th fret treble side and 6/64" bass side depending on humidity changes. The guitar has no truss rod (it is built solid and does not require one). Neck relief is at .012” at the 8th fret. The neck has a thicker feel with a U shape. This is a unique type of neck that is very comfortable to play along with the low action and no fret buzz. The nut is original. Hand filed a new bridge bone saddle. The bridge is secure to the body with no lifting. All the frets have been spot leveled and crowned as needed. All the frets are hand polished with no sharp fret ends. The rosewood fingerboard has been conditioned with lemon oil. The body, neck, and headstock have been cleaned and polished with Cream of Carnauba wax. Restrung with D`addario EJ27 .028 - .043 strings. Intonation is accurate at the 12th fret for all strings. Tuners have been cleaned, adjusted, and lubricated. They turn smoothly. This comes with a soft thin case.
