Description

Yamaha LS-TA acoustic electric guitar in good condition. This was made with all solid woods - solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. The LS is Yamaha's "concert" size in the L-series. If you've never played one of these, they sound far better than most other concert size guitars. The body depth is more similar to the LL and LJ models, so that you get all the articulation you'd expect from a concert guitar, but without sacrificing as much bottom end. Cosmetically, there are a few small dings and scratches that I've tried to capture in the pics (pic 7, 11, & 12); and a piece of missing binding on the headstock (pic 10). The back of the neck is in excellent condition, as well as the fingerboard and frets, so playability is excellent. I've upgraded the nut and bridge saddle to GraphTech Tusq and replaced the plastic bridge pins with ebony . I also did a line-up with new Elixir phosphor-bronze strings. These upgrades make a significant improvement in the sound. The TransAcoustic system sounds great, though when I press and hold the lineout volume button, it doesn't appear to turn off the TA system as indicated. The reverb and chorus are adjustable and can be turned completely off with their respective knobs though. I don't consider this a big problem as I usually set the sound to my liking and leave it. But in full disclosure, I wanted to point this out, so consider the active electronics functional, but "as is" with reverb and chorus always active. I consider this to be an ideal gigging guitar with it's excellent playability and versatility of sound, with the reverb and chorus adding an impressive presence. Comes with a "like new" Yamaha deluxe padded case.
